Acting on information received from the Tennessee Attorney General’s Office, Kershaw County Sheriff’s Office (KCSO) investigators seized $342,000 worth of counterfeit trademark logos from a county residence and arrested Frederick L. Bartlett, 65, of Elgin. According to a KCSO press release, investigators with the Tennessee Attorney General’s Office conducted a raid on a business in Gatlinburg, Tenn., in January and seized a very large quantity of shirts and other sports memorabilia bearing counterfeit logos. Information obtained from that raid pointed to an Elgin business operated by Bartlett.
