The Kershaw County Sheriff’s Office (KCSO), Newberry County Sheriff’s Office (NCSO) and Whitmire Police Department (WPD) recently ended a month-long joint investigation resulting in the seizure of thousands of pills stolen from a Newberry County pharmacy and the arrest of three men, including two brothers. According to a KCSO press release, the case started on June 21 when deputies arrested Neil Trammel, 28, of Union, and Trevor Wilson, 21, of Sharon, following a lengthy car chase through neighborhoods off Wildwood Lane in the Lugoff-Elgin area. Following the chase, deputies charged Trammel, the driver, with failure to stop for a blue light, trafficking in an illegal drug, possession of a Schedule IV drug, possession with intent to distribute a Schedule II controlled substance and possession of a Schedule II substance.
