Kershaw County man pleads guilty to federal gun charges

A Camden man pleaded guilty in federal court Thursday to two counts of being a felon in possession of a firearm. According to a press release issued by South Carolina U.S. Attorney Beth Drake, Senior U.S. District Judge Joseph F. Anderson Jr. accepted the plea from Michael Andrew Gary, 27, of Camden, and will impose sentence after reviewing a presentencing report from the U.S. Probation Office. Evidence presented in court established that on Jan. 17, 2017, Camden Police Department (CPD) officers stopped Gary for a traffic offense, and arrested him for driving under suspension.
