The Kershaw County Sheriff’s Foundation recently purchased S.C. Law Enforcement Officers Association (SCLEOA) memberships for every sworn officer at the Kershaw County Sheriff’s Office (KCSO). While each membership costs only $30, the benefits are substantial, according to a KCSO press release. Members receive a $5,000 line-of-duty death benefit, free legal representation for officers facing litigation stemming from line-of-duty incidents, scholarship opportunities for children of officers and discounts at motels and attractions.
