A New Jersey man is still being held at the Kershaw County Detention Center (KCDC) following a high speed chase on I-20 involving U.S. Marshals and Kershaw County Sheriff’s Office (KCSO) deputies Thursday. Marvin Antonio Montgomery, 34, of Baltic Avenue, Atlantic City, N.J. -- wanted for a parole violation, aggravated assault, assault on a police officer, resisting arrest and receiving stolen property -- led marshals and deputies on a high speed chase on I-20 into Richland County after locating him in Camden. Kershaw County Sheriff Jim Matthews said the U.S. Marshals’ Florence office asked for KCSO assistance in apprehending Montgomery.
