A Kershaw County Sheriff’s Office (KCSO) deputy responded to an Elgin concrete plant in Richland County around 2 p.m. March 3 in response to a company truck driver who had been stabbed. While being treated by EMS, the 50-year-old victim from Lugoff said he noticed a vehicle following all the way from I-77 to the plant, which is located just off S.C. 12 inside the Richland County line. The victim said when he stopped his truck, the suspect got out of his vehicle, climbed up on the side of the truck, claimed the victim had run him off the road and threatened to stab him in the heart.
