Columbia teacher charged with DUI in Kershaw County

An art teacher at Columbia’s private Heathwood Hall Episcopal School is out on bond from the Kershaw County Detention Center following his arrest late Sunday night for driving under the influence (DUI). Kershaw County Sheriff’s Office (KCSO) Capt. Ed Corey confirmed Hartley Stuart Barber, 41, of Lincoln Street, Columbia, is employed at Heathwood Hall. Corey said Barber is being charged with DUI, simple possession of marijuana, open container and possession of drug paraphernalia.
