Law enforcement warns of scammers around the holidays

Law enforcement officials are cautioning the public to always be wary of swindlers and those who try to get money from good people using a wide variety of unethical and illegal tactics. These con games know no season, but Camden Police Department (CPD) Chief Joe Floyd said criminals increase their efforts around the holidays. Using the old adage, “if it’s too good to be true, it probably is,” Floyd said everyone should be aware of possible scams and gave advice on what to do if they are contacted by anyone they don’t know asking for money.
