During a dinner honoring Kershaw County first responders Monday night, Camden American Legion Post 17 named Kershaw County Sheriff’s Office (KCSO) Deputy Brandon Hudson as its 2016 Deputy of the Year. According to a KCSO press release, Hudson, who has been employed as a deputy for approximately five years, was chosen for his dependability, work ethic, professionalism and because he provides his service to the community without ever complaining. “Brandon is frequently called upon to go above and beyond in his duties,” Sheriff Jim Matthews said.
