Lugoff Fire-Rescue (LF-R) Assistant Fire Marshal and Engineer Ben Hinson recently received the honor of being named South Carolina’s Child Safety Seat Technician of the Year. Hinson received the award during the annual Children’s Trust Child Passenger Safety Summit held at the Columbia Metropolitan Convention Center on Sept. 18. The convention included members of SC Safe Kids and other members of fire, EMS, law enforcement and civilian organization.
