Lugoff Fire-Rescue (LF-R) Chief Dennis Ray along with Battalion Chief Chris Spitzer want to thank everyone who participated in the recent fundraiser to offset some of the medical costs incurred by Spitzer’s son, Carson. LF-R raffled off a genuine leather Cairns brand fire helmet that had been donated by fire equipment vendor Safe Industries. Ray reported more than $1,600 was brought in from the ticket sales and the winner of the helmet was Newberry City Firefighter Burt Mohler.
