LF-R received HFKC grant for special devices
Lucas Device
Thanks to a Health Foundation of Kershaw County grant, Lugoff Fire-Rescue was able to obtain this Lucas automated chest compress device, one of two the department was able to obtain. The grant also allowed the LF-R to obtain a LifeVac device, which is designed to help supplement rescue efforts such as CPR and the Heimlich maneuver.
In December 2021, the Health Foundation of Kershaw County awarded Lugoff Fire-Rescue (LF-R) with a $38,000 grant to complete two different projects to enhance the healthcare of Lugoff residents. LF-R has now received the equipment to proceed with both projects.
