Lugoff Fire-Rescue (LF-R) crews responded to U.S. 601 at I-20 in Lugoff for an overturned vehicle with entrapment at approximately 9 a.m. Monday. Battalion 1, Training 1, Rescue 10 and Service 10 responded to the scene to find a sports utility vehicle (SUV) overturned against a guard rail in the median. Battalion 1 took command and requested a LifeNet medical helicopter for a trauma patient trapped inside the overturned vehicle, which sustained major damage from the crash.
