Kershaw County Sheriff’s Office (KCSO) Deputy Julia Locklear graduated Oct. 31 as a Class I law enforcement officer following 12 weeks of training at the S.C. Criminal Justice Academy. The KCSO hired Locklear in March, assigning her to the civil division serving civil process. According to a KCSO press release, Locklear was required, by law, to attend the academy to obtain her Class I certification within one year.
