Christina Kirk, an Explorer assistant chief at the Lugoff Fire Department (LFD) Explorer Post, recently attended a national firefighter training camp in Concord, N.H. Camp Fully Involved, is a physically challenging, aggressive, hands-on summer camp directed towards young women between the ages of 14-20 who are interested in exploring the career of firefighting. According to Dave Danielson, of the New Hampshire Fire Standards and Training and Emergency Medical Services (NHFSTEMS) division, Christina was one of two cadets from South Carolina. Danielson said the other South Carolina cadet was from Walterboro.
