Lugoff man dies after high speed chase

A Lugoff man died after traveling up to 100 mph Sunday morning around 3 a.m. Boyd Outlaw, 41, was traveling South on Highway 1 and struck a concrete island near Springdale Drive, Camden. Outlaw was thrown from his 2002 Suzuki motorcycle several hundred feet into the air; he died at the scene from massive head injuries, Kershaw County Coroner Johnny Fellers said. Outlaw was not wearing a helmet, Fellers said.
