The Kershaw County Sheriff’s Office (KCSO) is investigating a series of vandalisms in and around Lugoff-Elgin High School (L-EHS) early Thursday morning. Lugoff Fire-Rescue Chief Dennis Ray said someone opened several fire hydrants on and around school property around 1 a.m.. “It was a massive amount of water lost and that decreased pressure in water lines in the Lugoff-Elgin Water Authority (L-EWA) service area,” Ray said Ray said an alarm later went off indicating a fire sprinkler system had been activated in the school auditorium.
