Clarence Mahoney -- a former chairman of the Camden Historic Landmarks Commission (CHLC) and a former member of Camden’s Bethesda Presbyterian Church’s session, the ruling body of the church -- is now in a New Hampshire jail serving a seven and a half to 15-year sentence for sexually assaulting a male child. Mahoney, 70, pled guilty Friday to aggravated felonious assault of a minor male child under the age of 13. Rockingham County (N.H.) County Attorney Jim Reames described the victim as one of Mahoney’s relatives and said the boy’s mother and father spoke in court Friday.
