Men plead guilty in Sandhills Bank robbery case

Two men arrested in June 2015 for the armed robbery of the Sandhills Bank branch in Bethune pleaded guilty Tuesday in federal court. According to a press release from U.S. Attorney Beth Drake, Yancey Kevon Wilson and Randy Jones Jr., both 23, pleaded guilty to a variety of charges stemming from the robbery. Wilson pleaded guilty to three charges: armed bank robbery; the use, possession and/or discharge of a firearm in connection with a crime of violence; and being a felon in possession of a firearm and ammunition.
