A 3-year-old Cassatt boy who went missing on Tuesday evening was found Wednesday morning. A Kershaw County Sheriff’s Office (KCSO) deputy heard the boy crying in the woods during a resumed search effort Wednesday morning, according to Sherriff Jim Matthews. Matthews said deputies used a machete to cut Jayden Lopez out of a briar patch so thick deputies could only see him from a few feet away.
