Lugoff-Fire Rescue (LF-R) will be adding more members to its Swift Water Rescue Team thanks to recent approval by the Lugoff Fire District Board of Commissions to send 10 more firefighters for swift water rescue certification. The unanimous vote came during the board’s Jan. 25 meeting, according to a LF-R press release. LF-R currently has six swift water rescue technicians, all of whom were deployed during Oct. 2015’s flooding in Lugoff and the West Wateree Area.
