New KCSO Deputy wins marksmanship award

On July 15, 2016 Deputy John Carter graduated from the SC Criminal Justice Academy Basic Law Enforcement Class 650 where he received the Clifford A. Moyer marksmanship award for being top shooter in his class. Carter graduated as a Class I certified law enforcement officer along with 54 officers from around the state. “John Carter did an outstanding job while working in the Civil Division and always had a positive, polite and respectful attitude,” Sheriff Jim Matthews said.
