The Kershaw County Sheriff’s Office (KCSO) arrested a 25-year-old Newberry man Friday for allegedly driving under the influence and speeding 107 mph on I-20. Kershaw County Sheriff Jim Matthews said deputies arrested Matthew Christopher Temples around 5:15 p.m. Friday and that he has a history of driving under the influence, having been arrested for the offense twice before and for driving under suspension once before. Matthews said Temples also had open alcohol containers in his car when he was stopped.
