One of four people charged in an April 2017 carjacking in Lugoff pleaded guilty recently to a federal charge and will spend the next seven years in a penitentiary. According to Asst. South Carolina U.S. Attorney Will Lewis, Davernier Capon Parker, 20, of Shorecrest Drive, Columbia, recently pleaded guilty to a single federal charge of use of a firearm in furtherance of a carjacking.
