A Camden businessman accused of taking a loaded gun into a congressional office building in Washington, D.C., was scheduled to appear in court Thursday, but the District of Columbia U.S. Attorney’s Office said the hearing has been rescheduled for 11 a.m. Sept. 10 before Magistrate Judge Frederick Sullivan. Dr. Ron Prestage, president of Prestage Farms, was accused of carrying a handgun inside a briefcase into the Cannon office building at 9:20 a.m. on July 23. The offices of several U.S. congressmen from South Carolina are in the Cannon building.
