Prestage pleads guilty to D.C. misdemeanor gun charge

Prominent Camden businessman Dr. Ron Prestage entered a guilty plea Tuesday to misdemeanor charges of having an unregistered firearm and unregistered ammunition in his possession as he entered a congressional office building in Washington, D.C. on July 23. According the Bill Miller of the U.S. Attorney’s Office, Superior Court Judge John McCabe sentenced Prestage, 59, to 30 days in jail suspended upon six months of unsupervised probation. Miller said McCabe also ordered Prestage to pay $100 in court costs.
