The Blaney Fire Department (BFD) held a grand opening and ribbon cutting ceremony Friday for its new facility just over the bridge outside Elgin north on U.S. 1. According to BFD Chief George Marthers, the new building is a huge positive for the community. “The facility we had was nice, but this is a whole lot nicer.
