Roach pleads to federal firearms charge

A Camden man pleaded guilty this week in federal court to being a felon in possession of a firearm and ammunition. According to a press release issued Thursday by U.S. Attorney Beth Drake, Richard Herman Roach III, 28, of Camden, faces a maximum of 10 years in prison, a fine of $250,000 and three years of supervised release. Senior U.S. District Judge Cameron McGowan Currie, of Columbia, accepted the guilty plea and will impose sentence after reviewing a presentencing report prepared by the U.S. Probation Office.
