One of six people arrested at various times in 2016 for a rash of vehicle break-ins pleaded guilty on Sept. 15 and will spend the next four years in prison. Marquez Armani Robinson, 20, of Ash Tree Road, Columbia, who was still being held at Kershaw County Detention Center as of Wednesday afternoon, pleaded guilty to 27 counts of larceny-breaking into motor vehicles and one count of criminal conspiracy. A circuit court judge sentenced Robinson under South Carolina’s Youthful Offender Act (YOA) to five years in prison with credit for 11 months of time served.
