SCSO investigating Camden mans death

What appeared to be a Camden man’s death in Sumter County due to a car crash is now being investigated as a homicide. The Sumter County Sheriff’s Office (SCSO) is investigating the death of Johnny Singleton, 65, of Camden, who was in a single-vehicle crash on U.S. 521 North near Rembert just inside Sumter County. Wednesday afternoon, the SCSO confirmed an autopsy revealed someone shot Singleton in the head around the time of the crash.
