If your high school and college-age kids are going to the Carolina Cup this year -- especially to Springdale Race Track’s “College Park” area -- you might want to pass along a message: it might take them a few extra minutes to get to their spots. That’s because deputies from the Kershaw County Sheriff’s Office (KCSO) will be manning College Park entry points to check coolers for alcohol. “If there’s beer or alcoholic energy drinks inside, we’ll be asking the person in possession of that cooler for their ID,” said Sheriff Jim Matthews.
