Shooting suspect pleads guilty

One of two men arrested in mid-March for a shooting incident in late February and for allegedly intimidating at least one witness afterward has pleaded guilty to first-degree assault and battery. Rick Thomas Kennedy, 22, of Branham Avenue in east Camden, pleaded guilty on Oct. 4 to the assault charge. Kershaw County Sheriff’s Office (KCSO) deputies originally charged Kennedy with assault and battery of a high and aggravated nature.
