U.S. Marshals who fatally shot a federally convicted Camden accountant Dec. 5, 2014, notified the Kershaw County Sheriff’s Office (KCSO) they were coming into Kershaw County the day before, but chose not to have the county’s chief deputy accompany them. Joseph Glenn Folsom, 59, died after being shot by Marshals after he failed to turn himself in for a 51-month prison sentence. Marshals went to his Blue Heron Lane home around 10 a.m. Dec. 5, according to Kershaw County Sheriff Jim Matthews.
