A Lugoff Fire-Rescue (LF-R) firefighters enters a burning home on Wildwood Lane in Lugoff on the evening of June 14. A June 14 house fire on Wildwood Lane in Lugoff was so intense, thick smoke rising from the roof could be seen as far away as I-20 near the Lee County line. The fire damaged 80 percent of the home, according to a Lugoff Fire-Rescue (LF-R) press release. LF-R Engine 8, Rescue 10, Engine 10, Ladder 10 and Battalion Chief 1 arrived after 6 p.m. Tuesday to a home on the 500 block of Wildwood Lane near Smith Road.
