Sunday chase leads to arrest
Sunday Arrest
Kershaw County deputies arrest an east Camden man (in blue shirt) in front of an East DeKalb Street gun shop following a vehicle chase that started on Bishopville Highway around 2 p.m. Sunday. The man had called dispatchers twice, initially claiming that a friend had threatened to commit suicide. The second call involved him threatening the lives of dispatchers and deputies and then to the chase. Camden police officers and a highway patrol trooper assisted in the arrest. Deputies located quantities of meth and marijuana, charged him with possession of those drugs, and for failing to stop for blue lights. (Martin L. Cahn/C-I)
