A 24-year-old Elgin woman suffered non-life threatening injuries after she flipped the SUV she was using to flee from Kershaw County Sheriff’s Office (KCSO) deputies on June 29. According to a KCSO press release, deputies arrested Ashley Nicole Henry, 24, of Bowman Avenue, Elgin, and charged her with a second offense of driving under suspension and failure to stop for a blue light. The high speed pursuit ended when Henry lost control of the vehicle and ran off the road, flipping the SUV. “Bad choices by Ms. Henry resulted in a more serious charge and the total loss of a rental car,” said Chief Deputy Jack Rushing in the press release.
