A Rembert man is behind bars after leading deputies on a lengthy chase and ramming two patrol cars in the process Tuesday, according to a Kershaw County Sheriff’s Office press release. KCSO deputies arrested Demetrice Jacoby Williams, 36, of Rembert and charged him with failure to stop for a blue light, resisting arrest, malicious injury to personal property and driving under suspension, according to the press release. “This entire incident could have been avoided if Williams had initially complied with the lawful orders of the officer,” Kershaw County Sheriff Jim Matthews stated in the press release.
