Kershaw County Sheriff’s Office (KCSO) deputies apprehended a 14-year-old Richland County boy early Monday after he reportedly stole a car and led authorities on a chase. According to a KCSO press release, a motorist called 911 around 7:15 a.m. Monday to report the driver of a yellow Ford Mustang was headed east and swerving in and out of traffic on U.S. 1 between Elgin and Lugoff. A KCSO deputy intercepted the car and attempted to make a traffic stop, but the driver sped away toward Camden, running stoplights and driving off the roadway several times, the press release said.
