Someone managed to steal an entire automatic teller machine (ATM) from a credit union branch in Lugoff despite a Kershaw County Sheriff’s Office (KCSO) deputy’s rapid response to an alarm. According to a KCSO press release, the alarm call came in around 3:30 a.m. Tuesday from Mid Carolina Credit Union. The responding deputy arrived within two minutes of the call, but found the entire ATM had been removed its concrete base and was gone.
