Former Kershaw County Sheriff’s Office (KCSO) Sgt. Oddie Tribble Jr. was found guilty Thursday of violating a Camden man’s constitutionally protected right to be free from the excessive use of force. Tribble will be sentenced May 12; he could face up to 10 years in federal prison. The verdict came a full week after the trial in the Matthew J. Perry Jr. U.S. Courthouse in downtown Columbia began and after approximately 11 hours of deliberation over two days.
