Two injured in DUI wreck in Camden

Emergency Medical Services (EMS) personnel transported a Camden woman and her daughter to KershawHealth and then further transported the daughter to a Columbia hospital by air following a two-vehicle collision around 5 p.m. Wednesday, May 3 at the intersection of West DeKalb Street and Battleship Road. S.C. Highway Patrol Lance Cpl. David Jones said troopers charged Charles Dennis Hargett, 59, of Kershaw, with a fourth or subsequent offense of DUI in connection with the crash. Hargett, allegedly driving under the influence, crashed his 1998 Dodge Ram 1500 head-on into a four-door Chevy Sonic being driven by the Camden woman.
