The Camden Police Department (CPD) is seeking two male subjects in connection with an alleged armed robbery at Kirkwood Park on Stowers Street near the Dusty Bend commercial district off North Broad Street. The robbery allegedly took place Sunday around 7 p.m.

According to a CPD report, two 17-year-old girls said two African-American males, both 5 feet 10 inches or more in height with slender builds, approached them with bandanas over their faces and armed with handguns. The girls said the suspects demanded their valuables and that a suspect allegedly struck one of the girls in the head, causing a minor injury to her right ear.

They said the subjects then left on foot toward Broad Street.

Although the girls said the bandanas may have been black, a witness described them as dark blue and said the suspects crossed over Tucker Street. The suspects took one girl’s wallet and necklaces, and the other girl’s iPhone.

Anyone with knowledge of this crime is asked to call the CPD at (803) 425-6025 and may remain anonymous.
