Crime scene tape encloses all that remains Monday morning of a fireworks stand destroyed by fire on Friday night. The Camden Fire Department and Kershaw County Sheriff’s Office are seeking two subjects, likely men, caught on nearby security footage entering and exiting the stand before the fire. The fire also damaged the nearby SUV that CFD officials said had been parked behind the SUV for some time. (Martin L. Cahn/C-I)
The Camden Fire Department (CFD) and Kershaw County Sheriff’s Office ( KCSO) are searching for two subjects, likely men, believed to be responsible for a fire that destroyed a fireworks stand in east Camden. CFD Chief John Bowers said firefighters got the call around 10:20 p.m. as snow fell Friday. The stand was located on the southwest corner of the intersection of U.S. 1 North and McRae Road, diagonally across from the Carousel Center/East Camden Private Lounge.
