Up the ranks at the CPD
Stone named operations captain; Boan promoted to patrol lieutenant
Floyd-Boan
With Stones promotion, Floyd tapped Lee Boan (right) to become the new patrol lieutenant. Boan has served, most recently as sergeant, in the CPD investigative division for 11 years. Floyd said Boans combination of skills and education -- he holds one masters and is close to earning a second --- made him the right person for the job.
Two veteran Camden Police Department (CPD) officers are moving up in rank and responsibilities and the same could happen for other officers soon. CPD Chief Joe Floyd has promoted Mike Stone, most recently a lieutenant in charge of the department’s patrol division, to captain of operations. Stone is nearing his 20th year with the CPD. “Capt. Stone will be in charge of operations over both the patrol and investigative divisions, and today’s his birthday,” Floyd said Friday morning.
