Walmart - Orange and White
Security footage from Walmart’s Camden store provided by the Camden Police Department shows five of six persons of interest investigators are trying to identify so they can be questioned about an incident Thursday afternoon allegedly involving a gun. No shots were fired. However, due to confusion caused by the incident and clothing descriptions, two other people involved in an unrelated shoplifting at the store fled at high speed up Springdale Drive and then onto S.C. 97 toward Camden where they collided head-on with a Kershaw County Sheriff’s Office patrol car. Neither the deputy nor those suspects were injured.
While it never turned into an active shooter incident, a gun was involved during a confrontation involving one set of subjects inside of Walmart on Thursday, setting off a chain of events that ended with another set of subjects crashing head-on into a Kershaw County Sheriff’s Office patrol car.
