Woman dies in single-vehicle collision

A Lugoff woman died in a single-vehicle collision Thursday morning.

Kershaw County Coroner David West identified the woman as Tiffany Kaye McNeely, 40, of Lugoff. West said the collision happened on Longtown Road.

“The vehicle was traveling south toward Lugoff,” West said in a press release. “She went off the right side of the road, overcorrected, went to the left side and hit a bank, flipping over a number of times.”

West said McNeely was ejected into the back of the vehicle despite wearing a seat belt. He said the collision is still under investigation by his office and the S.C. Highway Patrol.
