Aberdeen Catery is offering a $500 scholarship for Kershaw County high school seniors interested in pursuing a career in culinary arts. Jack Brantley, owner of the Camden-based catery, said the scholarship will be awarded to a student who plans to enter a post-secondary institution in the fall and eventually work in catering or food preparation in the restaurant industry. Brantley founded Aberdeen Catery in 1983.
