ATEC auditorium named for founding director

Kershaw County School District personnel and Kershaw County community members helped celebrate the dedication of the Dr. Gilbert G. Woolard Auditorium at Applied Technology Education Campus (ATEC) Tuesday night. ATEC Director Chet Horton; Kershaw County School Board of Trustees Chair Mara Jones; Kershaw County Voccational Education Foundation (KCVEF) Chair Charles Baxley; and former ATEC directors Betty Sue Webber and Allen Teal helped make the evening special for the late Gilbert Woolard’s wife, Betty, and several of his family members, who accepted the dedication on his behalf. The Kiwanis Club and KCVEF co-sponsored the event.
