ATEC FFA chapter earns gold status
ATEC FFA chapter officers are shown at last years national FFA conference in Louisville, Ky. Members include (girls, from left) Kayla Jordan, Jessica Stockman, Morgan Davis, Nikki Huggins, Jessi Catoe (boys, from left) Andrew Arledge, Jordan Miano, Luke Pruitt and Duncan Gillis.
State officials recently awarded gold status to the Applied Technology Education Campus (ATEC) chapter of the Future Farmers of America (FFA.) ATEC is one of only nine high school organizations in the state to receive such recognition. The honor means the local chapter advances to compete for national FFA chapter of the year recognition later this year at the national conference in Louisville, Ky. “We are extremely proud of our FFA chapter for this recognition,” ATEC Director Chet Horton said.
