Students from the Applied Technology Education Campus (ATEC) computer service technology program swept the state SkillsUSA competition and represented South Carolina in the national competition. Dylan Hendrix from North Central High School placed first, Austin Quick from Lugoff-Elgin High School placed second and Lee Thompson from Camden High School placed third in the state competition held in April in Greenville. Traditionally, the first place winner represents the state at the national SkillsUSA competition held in Louisville, Ky., but due to a scheduling conflict, Hendrix is not available to compete, so Quick will go in his place.
